Delete your account
You can delete your Presence DPC Patient account at any time, in the app or by email.
In the app
- Open the Presence DPC Patient app and sign in.
- Tap Profile.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
By email
Email info@presencedpc.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will confirm by email once the request is processed.
What happens next
- Right away: your account is closed and you can no longer sign in.
- Within 30 days: you can change your mind. Email us and we will restore your account.
- After 30 days: your data is deleted as described below.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in account, profile photo, notifications and device push notification tokens.
- Requests that never became a consultation, with their messages, photos, videos, documents and voice notes.
- If you never received a consultation: your whole profile (name, email, phone, date of birth, gender, address, state, pharmacy) and everything you uploaded.
What is kept, and why
- Medical records of consultations you received are kept for as long as Massachusetts law requires us to keep medical records. A medical record includes the details that identify you and the messages, photos, videos, documents and voice notes that were part of that consultation.
- Payment records are kept as tax and accounting law requires. Your card details were never stored by us.
Kept records are only accessible to authorized practice staff and are deleted when the legal retention period ends.
